Celebrex

Celebrex is a type of NonSteroid Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) used for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and for controlling acute pain in adults. It is also helpful in managing menstrual pain and in the reduction of number of colon and rectal polyps. It is also widely prescribed for people who are taking aspirin which provides an antiplatelet effect.

The Celebrex capsules are usually available in 50mg, 100 mg, 200 mg or 400mg. It includes various inactive components like lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone etc. The dosage can be given with or without food. For treating osteoarthritis, a dosage of 200 mg per day is recommended. An oral dose of 100mg to 200mg is usually prescribed for the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. For better effects it is advised to store the drug at a temperature of 35-45° F. The capsule usually comes in white color.

The medicine comes with various side effects. There can be gastrointestinal problems like constipation, hiatal hernia, dry mouth, gastroenteritis, stomatitis etc. Cardiovascular problems like coronary artery disorder, myocardial infraction, and aggravated hypertension are also possible to occur.
